Kherengbar - The Scent of Desire

In the forests of Tripura, there once bloomed an orchid unlike any other.

Kherengbar was said to carry a fragrance so divine that it did not belong to humans. It was a flower of the gods—pure, intoxicating, and forbidden. According to the ancient folklore of Tripura, when humans touched what was never meant for them, tragedy followed. Moved by sorrow and warning, the gods took away the orchid’s scent forever—so no one would be tempted again.

The flower remained.

But its fragrance was lost.

Kherengbar by Clairière is a tribute to that forgotten scent.

This fragrance is an interpretation of what once was—an imagined memory of the orchid before the curse. Soft florals unfold like mist in a sacred forest, followed by earthy, woody depths that echo untouched land, silence, and time. It is delicate yet haunting, gentle yet emotional—never overpowering, always intimate.

This is not a recreation.

It is a remembrance.

This is Clairière’s first offering—rooted in Northeast India, inspired by folklore, and created to honor what was lost.
